This original painting by Faith Lund uses many transparent washes of acrylic to build up the surface.  The chosen colors and technique present a floating effect.  The application starts pale and translucent.  Various forms come to life through intensity, size, and placement.  The beauty is realized when one can see through all of the various layers.  The painting is finished after adding vivid elliptical shapes that rest or float on the surface.
