This original painting by Faith Lund incorporates many layers of acrylic wash.  The color blue has a large amount of value variation.  As a result one see's extreme depth when looking through the layers.  In the center is an organic shape reminding us of things that float and wash up with the tides.  It is floating and appears to have a fluctuating shape.  One is drawn beyond the surface of the water.
